More than 30 professionals from the audiovisual and publishing sectors attended the second edition of the Adapta Literary Market

Organized by the Associació d'Editorials del País Valencià and the Association Nautilus Gestió Cultural i Comunicació, in collaboration with the Valencian Department of Culture, Education and Sport, the Institut Valencià de Cultura and the Spanish Department of Culture and Sport, the conference took place on November 24th. The aim of this meeting was to weave links between professionals from the literary world and those from the audiovisual world, with the aim of promoting the literary adaptation sector.

Fifteen projects were presented at this year's event, of which eight were selected, ranging from novels to biographies and theater. More than 20 professionals from the audiovisual sector, including producers, scriptwriters and content directors, attended the event to create synergies with the authors of the projects and the editors in charge of carrying them out. In the morning, the projects were presented and in the afternoon, individual meetings were held between literary and audiovisual professionals.

At the opening of the event, the Department of Culture of the Valencian Government announced a new grant for the adaptation of Valencian literary works to the screen. The aid consists of seven grants of five thousand euros each for the development of a screenplay adapting an original Valencian literary work.
